Charges for an order are the sum of:
- Content Organization (if needed). Some people bring their original material to us organized in shoeboxes. Others use plastic bags. Both of these are fine strategies for organizing and identifying photos for scanning. In a few cases we have to spend a significant amount of time sorting through photos, slides, negatives, framed photos, albums etc. that have just been put in the same box. In these cases when we need to spend significant time out of the norm, we need to charge for our time spend doing this organization step. Most times, we do not do this, even if we spend some time organizing before we can scan.
- Scanning and/or Conversions (the bulk of the work)
- Product Delivery Media and Labor (the work and media needed to deliver your scans or conversions). We charge separately for this part of an order because everybody wants something different (e.g., multiple copies, alternative storage devices)
- A discount is given based on the sum of charges for Content Organization and Scanning and/or Conversions. The schedule for this discount is at the bottom of the table. There is no discount for costs associated with Product Delivery Media and Labor because there are no economies of scale associated with this item.
- Near the end of the table is the Minimum Order Value. Unless the sum of the Content Organization and Scanning and/or Conversions costs exceed the Minimum Order Value, that value will be charged. The customer will be given credit for one additional order of the difference between the sum of the Content Organization and Scanning and/or Conversion and the Minimum Order value.
